Ami päivitys 9.7. 2008 Parahin perhe Messiaassa, Kiitos kaikista  vastauksistanne ja rohkaisuistanne. Haluan antaa teille kaikille käsityksen sairaalasta, missä Ami on hoidettavana, ja  minkä kaltaisia ympäristömme ovat. Me olemme Sheba Lasten Sairaalan kuntoutussiivessä Ramat Ganissa lähellä Tel Avivia. Se on kaunis hyvin hoidettu rakennus suuressa sairaalakompleksissa, usein tunnettu Tel HaShomerina. Tämä sairaala perustettiin 1948 ja oli alkuaikana sotilassairaala. Se palvelee yhä sotilaita, ja on erikoistunut sotakentällä ja terrorihyökkäysten uhrien  haavoittuneiden hoitoon ja kuntoutukseen. Se on kasvanut pienen kaupungin kokoiseksi,  missä jokaisella lääketieteen lohkolla on oma rakennuksensa! Ariel Sharon on hengityslaitteessa aikuisten kuntoutusrakennuksessa Tel HaSomerissa.  Tapasin uskovan joka on sairaanhoitaja, joka työskentelee päästääkseen potilaat irti hengityslaitteista, ja hän hoitaa häntä. (Sharonia)  Lasten kuntoutussiivessä on vain 12 lasta kerroksessa potilaina, mutta monet ulkopotilaina. Melkein joka huoneessa on 2 lasta, paitsi pahiten haavoittuneet lapset. Perheenjäsenen on oltava lapsen kanssa 24 tuntia päivässä, koska heidän päiväjärjestyksensä ovat tarkkoja, ja kaikki tarvitsevat apua tullakseen puetuiksi, jne. Monet ovat pyörätuoleissa. Meidän huonetoverimme ovat äiti ja lapsi, Palestiinalaisia Gazasta. Omar 8 vuotias, sai päähänsä luodin, joka meni hänen aivoihinsa "juhlimisen" aikaan lähellä hänen kotiaan, missä ihmiset ampuivat ylös ilmaan. Hän sai luvan tulla Israelilaiseen sairaalaan hoitoa saamaan ja siirrettiin Tel HaShomeriin toipumaan. Hän on halvaantunut oikealta puolelta. Kerroksessa on toinenkin Palestiinalainen lapsi Gazasta äitinsä kanssa. Israelilaiset pommittivat sisäministeriön rakennusta Gazassa ja hän oli viereisessä rakennuksessa, kun se romahti, ja hautautui kivimurskan alle. Hänet tuotiin Israelilaisiin sairaaloihin hoidettavaksi ja on ollut kuntoutussairaalassa nyt 6 kuukautta. Hän on halvaantunut vyötäröstä alaspäin. Eräs lapsi on Sderotin kaupungista, pienestä Israelilaisesta kaupungista, jota on pommitettu Kassam raketeilla Gazasta yli 5 vuotta eteläisessä Israelissa lähellä Gazan rajaa. Tämä 8 vuotias lapsi oli ostamassa lahjaa äidilleen 19 vuotiaan veljensä kanssa, kun raketti putosi lähelle heitä. Hän menetti vasemman raajansa polvesta alaspäin - ja hänen toinen raajansa haavoittui niinikään pahasti. Hänen veljensä haavoittui myös kriittisesti, mutta  onneksi hänen raajansa säästyivät. 8 vuotias on ollut nyt sairaalassa 8 kuukautta. Joten meillä on Gaza ja Sderot vieri vieressä, molemmat saamassa hoitoa samoilta lääkäreiltä ja puhumassa toinen toisensa kanssa. Siellä, sairaalassa on rauha. Lääkintähenkilöstö ja muut lasten perheet kerroksessa kaikki näkivät Kanavalla raportin Amista (WWW.youtube.com, kirjoita hakuun Ami Ortiz Israel, niille jotka eivät ole nähneet sitä tai mene osoitteeseen:  http://www.reinosav.net/ami-clips.htm) ja niin tiedät keitä me olemme. Meillä on ollut joitakin hyviä keskusteluja, mikä Messiaaninen Juutalainen on, ja he tarkkailevat huolellisesti meidän elämäämme. Olkaa hyvä rukoilkaa, että me voisimme olla todistuksena, mikä voisi kirkastaa Herraa. Amin luokalla oli heidän valmistumisjuhlansa (9.Luokalta) eilen. Täällä Israelissa valmistumisjuhla on esittämisen muodossa: mitä on puettu ylle, lauluja, tansseja ja huvittavia hupailuja koulusta, oppilaista ja opettajista. Ami kykeni osallistumaan. Esittämisen teemana oli muiden, erilaisten kuin sinä, suvaitseminen, keksitty siitä, mitä sattui meidän perheellemme. Jälkeenpäin oli retki Galileaan, ja ulkojuhla ja juhlimista koko yö - ja Ami osallistui siihen kaikkeen !! Tiedän, että se oli hänelle kovaa, mutta se oli hyvin tärkeää hänelle jopa voimistaa itseään, ja yrittää olla niin normaali kuin mahdollista. Minun on sanottava, että ennen seremonioita, kaikki tytöt halusivat kuvan  Amin kanssa, oli todella hauskaa nähdä yhden ryhmän ottavan kuvan, sitten toinen ryhmä, sitten toinen -- kaikki seisomassa jonossa !! Haluaisin kiittää kaikkia, jotka ovat antaneet meille vinkkejä ja menetelmiä  kivun huojennukseen. Me yritämme kokeilla kaikkea, mutta Amilla on monia vaatimuksia nuoressa elämässään, ja niin minun on varovasti esiteltävä tätä tai tuota lisäystä hänen täpötäyteen vaativaan päiväohjelmaansa. Joskus hän haluaa jäädä yksin, usein hän haluaa minun pitelevän häntä ja rukoilevan hänen puolestaan. Kipu jota hän kokee, johtuu vaikeista hermovaurioista, joten tarvitsemme kärsivällisyyttä, armoa ja päivittäisiä ihmeitä hänelle. On monia ihmeitä ja monia vaikeuksia tällä tiellä, mitä Amin on taivallettava, mutta kiitämme Herraa jokaisena päivänä, että hänen ja meidän perheemme ei tarvitse vaeltaa yksin, vaan sinä ja tuhannet muut ovat kulkemassa sitä kanssamme. Ami Update July 9, 2008 Dear Family in Messiah, Thanks for all your responses and encouragements. I want to give you all an idea of the hospital where Ami is being treated, and what our surroundings are like. We are in the Children's Hospital rehabilitation wing of Sheba hospital in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv. It is a beautiful well-kept building in the large hospital complex, often known as Tel HaShomer. This hospital was established in 1948 and was in it's inception a military hospital. It still serves soldiers, and specializes in the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries from the battlefield and terror attack victims. It has grown to the size of a small city, with each section of medicine having it's own building!! Ariel Sharon is on a respirator in the adult rehabilitation building at Tel HaShomer. I met a believer who is a nurse who works weaning patients who are on respirators, and she takes care of him. The children's rehabilitation wing has only 12 children on the floor as in-patients, but many out patients. Almost each room has 2 children, except for the most injured children. A family member has to be with the child 24 hours a day, as their schedules are rigorous, and all need help to get dressed, etc. Many are in wheel chairs. Our room-mates are a mother and child, Palestinians from Gaza. Omar is 8 years old, and was hit in the head by a bullet that went into his brain during a "celebration" near his home where people were shooting up into the air. He got permission to come to an Israeli hospital for treatment and was transferred to Tel HaShomer for rehab. He is paralyzed on his right side. There is another Palestinian child and his mother from Gaza on the floor. The Israeli's bombed the interior ministry building in Gaza City and he was next to the building when it collapsed, and was buried underneath the rubble. He was brought to Israeli hospitals for treatment and has been at the rehab hospital for 6 months now. He is paralyzed from the waist down. Another child is from Sderot, a small Israeli town in southern Israel near the Gaza border, which has been bombed with Kassam missiles from Gaza for over 5 years. This 8 year old child was buying a present for his mother with his 19 year old brother when a missile fell next to them. He lost his left leg underneath the knee - and his other leg was badly injured as well.  His brother was also critically injured , but thankfully his limbs were saved. The 8 year old has been in the hospital for 8 months now. So we have Gaza and Sderot side by side, both receiving treatment from the same doctors and talking with one another. There, in the hospital, is peace. The medical staff and the other families of the children on the floor all saw the Channel one report about Ami(WWW.youtube.com, type in Ami Ortiz Israel for those who haven't seen it) and so know who we are. We've had some good conversations about what a Messianic Jew is, and they are carefully watching our lives. Please pray that we would be a testimony that would glorify the Lord. Ami's class had their graduation (from 9th grade) yesterday. Here in Israel the graduation is in the form of a show that is put on, with songs, dance and funny skits about the school, students and teachers. Ami was able to participate. The theme of the show was tolerance of others different than you, inspired by what happened to our family. Afterwards was a trip up to the Galilee, and a barbeque and festivities for the whole night - and Ami participated in it all!! I know it was hard for him but it was very important for him to even push himself, and to try to be as normal as possible. I have to say, that before the ceremonies all the girls wanted a picture with Ami, it was really funny to see one group take a picture, then another group, then another -- all standing in line!! I would like to thank all who have given us tips and methods for pain relief We try to try everything, but Ami has many demands on his young life, and so I have to carefully introduce this or that addition to his packed and demanding schedule. Sometimes he wants to be left alone, often he wants me to hold him and pray over him. The pain he is experiencing is because of  severely damaged nerves, and so we need patience, grace and daily miracles for him. There are many miracles and many hardships on this road that Ami is having to travel, but we thank the Lord every day that he and our family are not traveling it alone, but you and thousands of others are traveling it with us.
