ISRAEL CONCERNED WITH RUSSIAN NUCLEAR AID TO IRAN
Israeli security officials are concerned with the new cooperation agreement signed between Russia and Iran on Tuesday, a pact that will expedite the construction of Iran's nuclear plant with Russian aid, MA'ARIV reported. The agreement was inked despite American efforts to stymie the joint project. "A project of this scale will assist Iran in reaching its strategic goal of achieving nuclear capability," security officials said on Tuesday. The sources added that Russia is also deeply involved in the Iranian long-range missile program, which will be coordinated with the nuclear program. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his concern on the issue saying, "This step contradicts the efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East."
